Bowls sized in inches and ounces
Bowl names don't tell you much. A "cereal bowl" from one brand can hold more than a "soup bowl" from another. That's why every bowl here is listed two ways: its width in inches, and how much it holds in ounces and milliliters. Width tells you whether it fits your cabinet shelf. Capacity tells you whether your usual breakfast or dinner fits without spilling.
Our first set is four 8-inch bowls in a peacock blue reactive glaze. Each one holds 30 oz, about 3¾ cups. That's room for a full serving of soup with headroom left over. It works for pasta with sauce, a big salad, or cereal with milk. If you mostly eat small portions, check the chart in our bowl size guide first, since a 30 oz bowl can make a normal serving look small.
Two numbers per bowl
Every bowl lists its width in inches and its capacity in oz and ml.
30 oz ≈ 3¾ cups
Plan on filling it partway, not to the rim.
No two alike
Reactive glazes vary, so each bowl shows its own pattern.

Questions
How much does a 30 oz bowl hold?
About 3¾ US cups, or roughly 890 ml, filled to the brim. Food labels count a serving of soup as about 1 cup, so a 30 oz bowl holds a single serving with plenty of room to spare. See Bowl Sizes Explained.
Are all bowls in a set the same color?
They're the same glaze, but a reactive glaze shifts in the kiln, so each bowl shows its own pattern.
